At the premiere of Poseidon, we caught up with Mr. Voight and just had to ask all we could about Transformers. While officially not much is known about the script and it's direction we do know that the Autobots and the Decepticons bring their battle to Earth, leaving the future of humankind hanging in the balance.

The "humankind" so far consists of Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, John Turturro, John Robinson, Travis Van Winkle, Bernie Mac and of course Jon Voight.

Voight told us that he met with Michael Bay and read the script on Wednesday, well actually had a supervised visitation with it, and is quite excited about it. He loved the toys from the original television series and said that the fans are being taken very seriously and that they are going to love it.

Although he couldn't say much, he did let us know that he is playing the Secretary of Defense of the United States.
