Relativity Media, LLC (RML) announced today it will begin production on a new suspense thriller, Dark Fields in the late spring of 2010 with Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) to star. Distributed by Universal through Relativity's Rogue Pictures, Dark Fields will be produced by Leslie Dixon and Scott Kroopf (Breach, The Last Samurai) with Relativity Media's Ryan Kavanaugh. Relativity's Tucker Tooley will serve as Executive Producer.

Dark Fields is an exciting "What if?" story that unveils a designer drug that could make you rich and powerful. Eddie (Bradley Cooper) is a down and out New York writer until he comes to possess a pill that gives him the ability to access the full capacity of his brain. Soon Eddie realizes the use of his newfound superior intelligence and success comes at a heavy price as mysterious antagonists pursue him and dangers of the amazing new drug are revealed.

Cooper recently starred in the "The Hangover," the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time and can currently be seen in "New York, I Love You." He will next be seen in "Valentines Day" directed by Garry Marshall and is currently filming "The A-Team," directed by Joe Carnahan set for a June 2010 release.

"We're big fans of Alan's smart suspense thriller," said Kavanaugh. "We're honored to have Leslie Dixon adapt the screenplay and have such a gifted actor as Bradley in the lead role. We look forward to helping Neil realize his vision for this exciting thriller."

Said Burger, "I am really delighted that all of the elements of this project have come together in such a great way. I have been intrigued by the prospect of bringing this story to the screen for quite some time and I am very much looking forward to collaborating with Bradley, who I think is one of our finest working actors today."
