Julian McMahon on Bond and Dr. Doom

Author: Jess Ramirez

One of the first names that popped up as a replacement for Pierce Brosnan as James Bond was of Aussie Julian McMahon. How things have changed.

Last night at the after party of the season premiere of Nip and Tuck at The Geisha House in Hollywood, we had a few words with Julian about Bond and Doom.

In regards to Bond, Julian says that he is interested in the role but does not know what the studios have in mind. He says that there had been some talk but lately things have been a bit quiet.

The rumors going around that speculated that his agents were asking for too much money and that resulted in him losing the part is not true according to the actor.

"I would not allow money to get in the way of a dream project, we're talking about James Fucking Bond," said McMahon.

He is hopeful that some good news could be expected in the very near future.

So what about Dr. Doom?

"Fox is moving forward on a sequel to Fantastic Four, that film made lots of money and will make loads more with the DVD release, we have been told to expect to start shooting next year," says McMahon.

He added that he has been told that Dr. Doom is expected to have some help this time around. When asked if the Puppet Master will lending a hand he said that he couldn't comment.
