So with Grindhouse a flop at the U.S. box office, any movie fan would assume that El Machete, one of the faux trailers in the recently released double feature, would never make it in front of a camera.

The original plans of having El Machete part of the Grindhouse triple feature DVD release have been scraped, Bob and Harvey are moving forward with the film as a single release.

According to Danny Trejo, the Weinsteins have already green lit the El Machete feature film and he believes that it just might go before Sin City 2.
