Big News from the other side of the Wardrobe...(San Diego!) On the next Narnia Film "Prince Caspian"!!! Also- News on the future films in the series!!!
{sidebar id=1}May 16, 2008 is the day that the next installment of the Chronicles of Narnia will be released to the world.
Today, we at Comic-Con got our first look at footage from the upcoming film and it was awesome! First up was a pre-vis of a sequence that you fans might recognize. It was Caspian, and the Pevencies storming King Mirazs Castle. Judging from the raw footage, this sequence is going to be amazing!
We were also treated to the first ever featurette on the making of the film with some live footage
We had all the filmmakers on hand to talk to us (both here and in Prauge via. satelite). Here are some of the juicy tidbits we heard!
- The film is almost done shooting and will be ready for release next May.
- Expect Caspian to be much darker, more gritty and action packed!!
- Unlike Narnia 1, the creatures will have a wide range of ages, sex, and body type in each speces
- Caspians Dwarves Nickabrick and Trumpkin will be played by Warwick Davis and Peter Dinkledge.
- Andrew Adamson will NOT be returning as director for future installments
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will begin shooting in Jan-Feb of 08 for a release date of May 09
- There will be a new Narnia EVERY May for the next 6 years as they are making ALL books into movies.
