Clive Owen is one hell of a guy and one hell of an actor. He certainly flexes his penchant for violence in his latest role as babysitter in Michael Davis Shoot Em Up.
{sidebar id=1}The IESB sat down with Owen during the press day for Shoot Em Up in New York to talk about playing such an insane role, working with director Michael Davis and cutting an umbilicial cord with a gunshot, I am kidding about that last part, but that does happen in the film!
A gritty, fast-paced action thriller, Shoot Em Up kicks into high gear with a memorable opening scene and never relents. Clive Owen stars as Mr. Smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally (Monica Bellucci) to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal (Paul Giamatti) who hunts them throughout the bowels of the city. Shoot Em Up is written and directed by Michael Davis (Monster Man) and is scheduled for a Sept. 7, 2007 release.
