JJ Abrams Star Trek is on its second day of shooting and the IESB has a batch of Spy pics straight from the set!

{sidebar id=1}Our friends over at JFX Images have supplied the IESB with an exclusive batch of spy pics from a top secret location on the set of Abrams Star Trek.

We wont reveal the location of the shoot but I have to tell you that it wasnt easy to find. The shoot is not taking place out in the open, its appears to be an abandoned warehouse/factory.

Based on the costumes and the recent auditions that were announced it appears that the scene being shot involves either Starfleet Headquarters or Starfleet Academy. We really couldnt tell if there were any Vulcans or any other Aliens.

Paramount is making an effort not to show off the costumes as you can tell by the images below. All of the extras are required to wear long black trench coats to cover the costumes but even then a few details were still revealed.

If you look closely you will see some of the colors of the costumes. The colors visible are blue, red, dark green and white. Some one of the costumes cuff areas had a yellow or gold band around it. From what we can see they are somewhat reminiscent of the original costumes, at least the colors, just not so bright.

None of the Star Trek leads were spotted but I am sure that images of the cast will be released very soon either by the studio or by a courageous and daring photographer.
