While at this weekend's Wizard World L.A. we had the chance to speak to a very close friend of Tom DeSanto. We talked about a few different projects from the defunct DeSanto/Singer Battlestar Galactica to the upcoming Transformer live action movie.
To my surprise he stated that the director for the live action Transformer Movie was going to be Bob Zemeckis and that New Line Cinema was going to distribute. Zemeckis had been rumored to be involved in the project but to what extent nothing had been announced. After the revelation he noticed that I was quite shocked to see that he had volunteered that information so easily. Immediately he begged not to be quoted. So for now take it as a rumor but if it turns out to be true remember that you heard it here first.
