Mark Millar and Harry Knowles have been debating on who the next Superman will be. Even Rich Johnston from ComicBookResources.com has written the ridiculous column that Bryan is "wanting to give the world a new young gay role model, and is looking to employ someone who is either openly gay or closeted gay, who'll come out during publicity for the movie."

The reason that idea is ridiculous is that Bryan Singer would never use someone's sexuality for publicity. Bryan is going to cast the right person for the role. If the right person for Supes happens to be gay he won't exploit his sexuality for publicity of the film.

There has been no official announcement but two of my "inside sources" and I mean very "inside source" has told us today that Jim Caviezel is not going to be Superman for two reasons. Bryan believes that he is to old for role and that he does not look enough like Superman. The latter is up to debate but his age isn't. The storyline is supposed to take place right out of college and that would put Clark in the mid twenties not mid thirties.

Harry Knowles is right, Mark Millar is wrong. As I have been told "you can bank that Jim Caviezel is not going to be Superman."
