The
IESB caught up with Robert Patrick at the red carpet world premiere
of Mr.3000 at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. Patrick is very
well known in the film industry for the various sci fi characters
that he has embodied in his career but none no more recognizable than
his Terminator role.
Robert
Patrick co-stars next in Ladder 49 along side John Travolta
and Joaquin Phoenix, which according to Patrick is "more of a
tribute to firefighters than it is a movie about them." When
asked if he has left sci fi behind him he said " I never will,
I owe my sci fi fans a great deal of my career and I look forward
in doing some more [sci fi]. We have the X-Files movie coming
up soon and I can't wait to reprise my role of John Dogget once again."
When asked about his recent experience that he had on Stargate:
Atlantis and if he was okay with his one episode appearance "Hey,
I played a U.S. Marine who died heroically for his country. What else
can I ask for," said Patrick.
Robert
Patrick, who is a very patriotic American, is looking forward to once
again embody a U.S. Soldier on the big screen. The word in Hollywood
is that he will be getting his wish in a upcoming large budget WW
II epic. An official announcement is due shortly.
Ladder
49 opens stateside on October 1st.
