Clive Owen at the Premiere of Sin City

I first met Clive Owen last year during the King Arthur junket and since then we've been hearing about the James Bond rumors. Every time we've run into Clive he has denied any involvement.

Reportedly last week during the Sin City junket (that we chose to miss because of Wizard World) Clive was still denying everything related to Bond and was even heard saying, "I have no interest in doing Casino Royale." With all that said I had to give it one more try last night at the Sin City World Premiere in Westwood.

After a few questions about Sin City and about other upcoming work we asked him about the rumors regarding James Bond. "Yes or no to Bond," we asked. He said this while nodding his head 'yes', "I will be busy for a while" and then our colleague next to us asked again, "any truth to the James Bond rumors?" "I'll be busy for a while," he repeated with a grin and smile. These two things alone would not lead me believe that he will be James Bond, though it appears that he was hinting to a yes, but instead what happened off camera with an associate close to Clive.

A few minutes after that quick interview I was approached by a person/colleague that works with Clive and he/she stated that Bond was a done deal and that an official announcement by the trades is being brokered. Would this person be lying to me? Anything is possible but then the question remains, why would he/she lie?

One other inside source is telling us to expect an official announcement next week after the release of Sin City.
