Rumors have been aplenty this year when it came to the upcoming Superman project. Who will be the Man of Steel? Who could portray Lex Luthor and Jor-el convincingly? When it came to the role of Jonathon Kent, many veteran actors were mentioned. The IESB posted this article on the subject.

David Keith was amongst the speculated actors who had recently auditioned for the part of Mr. Kent. The IESB recently spoke with Mr. Keith about Superman.

He appartently was unaware of the project completely and that there wasn't any truth to these rumors so far as he was concerned.

In other Superman news, Moviehole had this,

Actor Christopher Showerman, best known as vine-swinging 'George' in Disney's "George of the Jungle 2", is the latest actor to appear before the "Superman" casting crew. As previously reported, the actors are all reading scenes for Dick Donner's original "Superman" movie.

Showerman, who recently wrapped the thriller "Sea of Fear, is a self-confessed fan of the "Superman" series, and is reportedly delighted to atleast be considered for the role.

One thing's for sure the young actor definitely has the right look, and obviously attitude - being a fan and all - for the role of the Caped Wonder.

Other actors who are rumoured to have tested for the role recently, include Anson Mount ["The Mountain"] and Mike O'Hearn ["World's Finest"], with bigger names like Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Costner, whispered to be in talks for the weighty support roles.

Stay tuned to the IESB for further Superman News!
