The IESB sat down with Oscar winning actor Kevin Spacey to put the recent Superman rumors to the test. According to sources, Spacey has reportedly been helping Brian Singers' camp during script readings and is being considered for the role of Lex Luthor.

When asked about this rumor Spacey said no, that is not true. He has not been helping or working on the Superman project.

Which of course prompted us to probe a little further. Had he been approached to work on the film?

"I was approached to do it. "

Are you in the running for the Lex Luthor role?

"I was approached to do it."

He wouldn't clarify any further but he went on to say that he would love to work with Brian Singer on anything the main problem is that he is so busy as Artistic Director of the Old Vic in London he doesn't know how he would fit it into his schedule.

The project would reteam Spacey and Singer for a second time. Spacey won an Oscar for his portrayal of Roger "Verbal" Kint in Brian Singers' The Usual Suspects.

Who wouldn't want to see him portray Supermans' arch nemesis? Keyser Soze and Lex Luthor...what a resume that would be!

I am sure we could find a way for you to fit this into your schedule Kev!

Stay tuned to the IESB for updates.
