Exclusive Video Interview: George Lucas on Indy IV and the future of Star Wars

George Lucas was been selected to receive the 33rd AFI Life Achievement Award, the highest honor for a career in film. The award was presented at a gala tribute on June 9th in Los Angeles. The Tribute will be broadcast on USA Network on Monday, June 20.

It's not often that I get to interview someone that I have admired for so many years. But every now and then I just happen to luck out. Yes folks, not only did I interview Steven Spielberg, but Uncle George as well!

To readers of the IESB it comes as no surprise that Star Wars was a major influence in our lives. Afterall, we are the inland empire strikes back.net! With the opportunity to interview George Lucas handed to me on a silver platter I was honored and knew I had to ask the right questions within the short time allowed. Indy IV and the future of Star Wars were the top two on my list.

Will we see any other Star Wars films directed by someone else? Is it truly the last film? Will be ever see Knights of the Old Republic as a tv series? What is the status of Indy IV? These questions and more answered below.
