Spielberg Dispels Indy IV Title Rumor
Author: Robert Sanchez
Steven Spielberg was on hand for the AFI tribute to the film career of his good friend and colleague George Lucas, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award for 2005.

About a week ago a new rumor popped up on Aintitcoolnews regarding a possible title for the next installment to the Indiana Jones franchise,

Indiana Jones and the Opal of the Mer-man Prince

Although Harry himself didn't think it held much water we wanted to get to the bottom of it.

Perfect timing...coincidence...whichever, I asked Spielberg if there was any truth to the Opal of the Mer-man Prince issue. Thank god for his answer, after all we did end up with The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones as final choices.

Spielberg sets the record straight that Harrison Ford was just having a little fun. When asked how soon he would be working on the project he said he did not have a definite answer. Will he be doing Indiana Jones before of after his project on Abraham Lincoln with Liam Neeson? He was not prepared to give an answer at this time.
