Enterprise gets renewed, boldly heading into Season 4!

After spending most of my day e-mailing and calling every possible person that I know at UPN and Paramount, I was able to get someone to talk about the future of Enterprise.

Here's what I got from a UPN insider...

Has Enterprise been renewed?

Yes it has but ratings have to improve if they expect season 5, they will not renew next year if ratings remain the same. This season will make or break Enterprise.

When was the decision made?

Last week the cast and crew were notified to come back to work on season 4.

Will it remain on Wednesdays?

No, not at all, we are tired of getting our butt kicked by Superman. Smallville is only getting better so we need to change to a Friday time slot since we are competing for the same demos.

What can we expect in Season 4?

They are going to introduce some more original series species and there might be a species that has been seen on other Star Trek series except for TOS.

Would that be John de Lancie's character of Q?

Maybe not John's "Q" but other "Q's" will make an appearance.

Is Rick Berman still involved?

Yes, he is actually flying out to New York with the rest of us to announce the schedule himself.

What about the so called prequel film?

It is moving forward but they have a new team involved with the early development and a new producer.

Thanks, have fun in New York.

Don't mention my name, bye.
